My top 5 books of 2018

Updated: Dec 30, 2020

As we approach the end of the year here are my top 5 book recommendations. I must have read well over 30 business and self-development books this year on top of countless articles, blog posts and tweets. These 5 books standout as books I expect to keep returning to:

1 - NOT DOING - Steven D'Souza and Dianna Renner (an antidote to a leader must always be busy)

2 - LEGACY - James Kerr (leadership lessons from the All Blacks)

3 - RAIN MAKING - Ford Harding (how to market and sell professional services)

4 - HOW THE WAY WE TALK CAN CHANGE THE WAY WE WORK - Robert Kegan and Lisa Laskow Lahey (challenging big assumptions that make us immune to change)

5 - MAKE YOUR BED - Admiral William H. McRaven (if you want to change the world...)

I truly believe that by developing a mindset of continuous learning we can bring about the long term and sustainable change in ourselves, our teams and the broader organisations that we work in and with.

All but one of these books were recommended to me so please share your thoughts and comments on these 5 books and let me know of your top book recommendations for 2019.
